Who runs it
PrizePicks Packs is a section of the PrizePicks app, the same account and wallet you'd use for its picks product. You need a verified PrizePicks account in a place where you're allowed to use the app.
Its Packs Terms of Service describe the product as repackaged collectible cards sold for a preset price, which you can store briefly, sell back for a disclosed price or have shipped.
What a pack contains
Each pack holds one real card stored at a PrizePicks facility. Packs come in three types, basketball, football and Pokémon, priced from $1 to $2,500.
Before you buy, the 'What's inside' button shows each tier, such as Starter, MVP or GOAT, with its FMV range and the share of the pack in that tier. PrizePicks says those percentages are estimates and can shift as cards are pulled.
The buyback and the 24-hour Locker
After a rip you can sell the card back for 100% of its Fair Market Value. PrizePicks sets FMV using data from independent third-party providers, so it's PrizePicks' estimate, not a sale price you negotiated.
You have 24 hours from the moment you open the pack to sell it back or ship it; if you do nothing, PrizePicks sells it back for you at 100% FMV. That's one of the shortest windows of any platform we cover. PrizePicks' Bonus Packs page gives three days for cards from Bonus Packs, so trust the timer in the app.
Shipping
PrizePicks ships only to US street addresses, not P.O. boxes. It shows the shipping fee before you confirm, lets you cancel a shipment request within an hour, and insures each package.
What the referral code pays
Your referral code lives in the app's Rewards tab. When a friend signs up with it and makes a qualifying deposit, you earn Bonus Lineups for Player Picks, not pack credit. Values vary by state.
So if you only want packs, a PrizePicks referral won't give you free rips.
For new users, PrizePicks' official code is MAXBONUS (or PACKS). PrizePicks says it gives $25 in Bonus Packs after your first $5+ pack. You enter one code at sign-up, and we haven't confirmed whether our referral code PR-715D13M also unlocks that bonus, so compare the two offers on screen before you pick.
What to weigh
The terms include binding arbitration, a class action waiver and a liability cap. That's common on these apps, but read it before you deposit.
A 100% buyback on a card worth less than the pack price is still a loss. Set a budget first.
