How the math works
For each tier, multiply its probability by the average card value, then add the tiers together. That total is the probability-weighted card value implied by your inputs. Dividing it by the pack price shows it as a percentage. It describes your assumptions, not cash you'll receive.
Hypothetical starting inputs: 70% × $55 + 22% × $140 + 7% × $320 + 1% × $1,500 = $106.70 in weighted card value against a $100 price. These are made-up numbers, not any platform's.
Where to find the numbers
- Odds tiers are usually on the pack's details or "odds" page. No published odds is a red flag.
- Use recent sold prices for card values, not the seller's "market value".
- Buyback is the percentage the platform pays to buy a pull back. Enter 0 if there isn't one.
