Who runs Drip
Drip's terms name Flourish Cares Inc., doing business as Drip Shop Live, at 604 Mission Street in San Francisco. TechCrunch reported that co-founders Javaughn Lawrence and Sameep Sheth started building it in January 2021 after watching collectors rip packs on Facebook Live.
PitchBook lists it as a private, venture-backed company with a $23 million Series A in May 2022. A funded company with a named address isn't a guarantee, but it's a long way from an anonymous seller.
Instant Packs and the sell-back
Instant Packs show odds before you rip and ship real cards, per Drip's app listing. Drip's blog says you can sell a pull straight back for 88% of market value, paid as Drip credit.
That credit only buys more on Drip. If you want cash, ship the card and sell it yourself.
What the terms say
Drip warns up front that randomized purchases can be worth less than you paid and are final once opened. Promotional credits and Driplets have no monetary value. Disputes go to individual arbitration with a class action waiver.
Live breaks have no sell-back at all: the card you're dealt is yours to keep.
What we couldn't verify
We haven't audited Drip's Instant Pack card pools or how it sets market value, and we don't vet individual live-break hosts. Legit doesn't mean a pack pays off. Compare any sell-back quote with recent sold listings first.
